From Tyrant to Transformed Part 1

I mean it's like non-stop. 00:33 - Speaker 1We can talk about our favorite subject. 00:35 - Speaker 2Yeah, exactly, and it just goes on and on. I mean, sometimes we're together for quite long periods of time and we're still sharing these stories back and forth. I often say the most fun conversations. You put any two faith shares together and it's not one-upping each other, but that reminds you, I was in a store like that once and you just have all these stories and it's so fun to share them. It's just amazing. Tell me some of your most recent experiences, some that I haven't heard before. 01:04 - Speaker 1Well, I worked with a woman that we had a lot of conversations and work exchanged via phone and computer and we didn't work but 150 miles away from each other, but every day we were working on projects together. And she was known in our company as being the tyrant. She could make you cry. Everybody was afraid of her, and so I thought well, Lord, why do you have me working with this? 01:33 - Speaker 2lady. She really made people cry because she was intimidating. She'd been in the company the longest. 01:40 - Speaker 1She was a tyrant and people I mean. When I came into the company, I was warned about her, and so I just started praying for her before I even started working with her. And lo and behold, we had to have some days together, face-to-face, working on a project, and I had been praying for her for months, and maybe even a year at that point. And do you know that, as God would have it, we had to drive out, we were in oil, we had to drive out to several locations in the field, and hours and hours of driving together, and so we began to share. 02:20 - Speaker 2She couldn't escape. 02:22 - Speaker 1Yeah, she was trapped in my car, you know. So as we were traveling she started sharing with me some of the hurt in her life and at one point she even said I don't know why I'm telling you all of this, but you know, the Holy Spirit had prepared her and me, and she felt God's presence in that car Because I asked for God's presence to be there, knowing she would be in the car and God in His faithfulness through our days together. At the end of that time there had been many tears and candy conversation with her and at the end of that time she did accept Christ. And you know, I got a call from a coworker at her corporate office where she worked and who was a believer, and she said she called me. After that she said what happened with you and so-and-so. She said she's totally different. Everybody at the office is talking about it. 03:23 - Speaker 2She's changed A new creation. 03:26 - Speaker 1A new creation. It's notable right when somebody is transformed by the power of Christ, it's just like instantaneous. 03:33 - Speaker 2His divine appointment is when God's sovereignty moves in two lives, not just yours. He's divinely bringing you to that moment, but her life's a totally different life For her to get to that moment. But her life's a totally different life For her to get to that encounter. God's just at the perfect time comes in when she was vulnerable and open. 03:52 - Speaker 1Yeah, you got to remember. He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should have eternal life. And so those people that we have in our sphere of influence, those people are included, those people that we meet when we're doing life and you know we're getting an Uber or we're at the store, wherever we are. 04:12 - Speaker 2And look what it does. The payback is you get to have fun, we get to have fun every day. Yeah, it's a promise of joy. Every day, I mean every day, is an adventure. Things could be darker, and yet it doesn't really matter. In fact, the darker it gets, the easier it gets. And almost the more fun it gets. 04:29 - Speaker 1The light shines brighter. 04:30 - Speaker 2People are hungry for what we have. People don't ever turn away from God conversations. Now they want to know, they want to know. They want what we have. It's the opposite of what this life and Satanism. We're going to offend people and all those excuses. It's an incredible opportunity. You exhibit that so well. Every time I'm with you, I get to upload your stories. You do too.
