Charlie Kirk is Gone. What Do We Do Now?!

Now listen in and prepare to have your life ignited. 00:43 - Speaker 1Hi everybody. Like most of you, I'm still reeling from Charlie's passing. I was on a plane I approached Orange County Airport. My phone rang while I'm on the plane and I answered it. It was my assistant. Katie says something, and I wouldn't even listen. I said you can't call me now. I'll call you back. Oh yeah, I'm on the plane. She says you've got to hear this. I didn't even listen. I said you can't call me now, I'll call you back. Oh yeah, I'm on the plane. She says you've got to hear this. I said no, I'll call you back. She says Charlie's been shot. What, how bad. She says it's dead. She knew it, she had been watching it live. She knew he was gone and the shock of that destroyed me. 01:25We landed, I couldn't get out of the chair and when I got up I didn't think I could stand. I was dizzy. I finally got to the car. I was sitting there. It's like it's impossible. It's just impossible. He's the rock. Decades from now, Charlie is still going to be our rock. You know what I mean and the comprehension that he would not be there. 01:53Quite frankly and honestly, it shook me to my core. I knew Charlie for 10 years. We were friends. I knew his heart, his passion. I watched that organization grow to what it is today, what we got home and went in and turned the TV on. 02:12Like many of you, I just sat immobilized for the next few hours, piece by piece by piece, and my knee jerk was, of course, okay, what are you up to? God? I talk about it all the time. When things go wrong, God is in it. I speak that. I've had that happen in my life. Every bad thing's happened to me and I won't go into that now. But every time I say okay, God, I know you're here, you have a lesson for me, you have somebody you want me to talk to. So I knew he was in it. I knew that as I ponder that, even with the harshness of the news, the dread of the news, I kept looking for the good news. We all do that when things go bad. Don't waste that moment, because God is there. He never leaves us. We do know that Satan doesn't trump God. Nothing happens to us unless God makes it happen or he allows it to happen for his purpose. And that's exactly what has happened. 03:13By the next morning, we started getting all the reports of the global, the global shaking, the shaking of this earth 14 countries holding vigils. One parade vigil really was like three million people in England, a godless country. That's what's pouring out all over, and we've seen it. It hasn't stopped, has it? It hasn't stopped. It didn't take long until one of that second day I realized. We realized, karen and I, that God knew exactly what he was doing. In his infinite wisdom, he knew that Charlie would be multiplied a million times over by this tragic instance that Satan meant for bad but he used for good. He always does. So I won't go in and repeat what so many people have talked about, and I've listened to so many reports and loved them all and said yay and amen. I'll just give you my take on it right quick. It's good. 04:16By Friday night after Charlie's death, I was at an event with Jack Hibbs and I went over to Jack and I said why am I feeling euphoria overtaking my sorrow Like I feel guilty? He says, Barry, it's incredible. It's global revival. That's what I've been praying for. Yes, thank you for affirming that. I mean, God didn't let Charlie suffer for a moment. He was doing what he loved to do more than anything else. He did that last. He did that one moment and the next morning he was God and our hearts break for Erica and the kids. And it's going to take some miracles and loving people and God's the fatherless or I should say God is the father to the fatherless and he'll be with Erica. And she's risen up and, oh my goodness, and we had an opportunity to be down in front for that service, that incredible service, and we prayed and prayed with so many of you. God, let this be a message of love to the world. The greatest evangelistic event in the history of the world is about to happen. Make it be one of love. They shout God's message of love to the masses. It was amazing. Even Donald Jr got in and said some really wonderful scriptural things. It was just amazing. 05:39And then Erica that moment the pressure was on her but she was focused and God was using her and she got closer and closer to addressing the perpetrator, the one who pulled the trigger. We prayed for days. Could it be that Erica somehow reaches out to this young man and forgives him? And could it be that I could see the salvation of this young man for the whole world to see? And she came up to that moment and she got closer to my chest and said say it, say it, say it. And then she said this young man, that man, this young man and she struggled with it, of course, but she said it from the bottom of her heart. I forgive him To the world. I mean, you can't do that within yourself. That's the Holy Spirit, that's God working through you and shouting to the world, to perhaps more than 100 million people. God is love, he's not vengeance, he's not hate, he's forgiveness. 06:49And the ones who are most injured probably is that young man in his corrupted mind. Can you imagine the misery he's going through? And the parents, what the misery they've gone through, perhaps for years. You've got to pray for them, folks. I know you are, but there's no room for hate in this world. We have to stop the violence. God puts that back. He's the light, it's love, it's God's love flowing through us to the masses. That brings it down to personal. Okay, and that's the message I want to get to you today We've got to stop hating people, folks. 07:23We've got to stop hating the people in government and the ones that don't look like us and shaking our fists and damning them and yes, and hating them and you know, and saying we can't do that. You do understand that God loves the people we hate. There's nothing in the gospel that gives us opportunity, gives us license to hey, we can't do that. God forgives us. As he forgives us, we forgive those around us. And if we don't do that, we're in trouble. And we are in trouble Because if you love people, you're going to tell them about Jesus. 08:02If God is number one in your life, you're going to tell people whatever you're excited about you're going to talk about. If you, if God is number one in your life, you're going to tell people Whatever you're excited about you're going to talk about. If you're not talking about Jesus all the time, then you're not really in love with him. You may be on your way to heaven I'm not saying that but you're not enthralled with him like you were when you were first saved. And Jesus says to us in the letter to the church at Ephesus, in Revelation, chapter 2. I know you go to church and you're doing all the right things, giving money. You know good teaching. You're a bad brother. I have this against you. You've left me as your first love. What do you have in your life that you love more than God? What do you talk about? What fills your prayers? Where is your heart? What are you living for? The opposite of love is not hate, it's apathy. 08:50In our ministry for years we've been holding services and we pour out our hearts and at the end of the service five, six people come up and the rest just walk out unmoved. But there's five or six that are broken or touched by the message. Why are they leaving? We explain that we're surrounded by the lost. They're lost because we're not telling them. How are they going to know unless somebody tells them? And nobody's telling them? 09:13Only 1% of us would you believe it are actually intentionally sharing our faith at a day-to-day basis. That's the reason we're in this trouble. We've been going down this path for 60 years. We're evangelizing the world. Thank down this path. For 60 years we're evangelizing the world. Thank God, God blessings on us is because of how we've been a blessing to the world, funding world evangelism five times more than all the other countries in the world. I mean, it's phenomenal. That's why he loves us. But at home we've gone dark, we've gone silent and 90% of the people around you every day are lost. Do you ever think about their soul, their eternity, where they're going. So what do you do about that? It's so easy, folks, and we've been sold to build goods, and it's hard and you're going to be persecuted. I've been sharing my faith for 50 years. I've never been persecuted. Charlie has. 10:01But he's put himself into the dialogue, in the mainstay, where he attracts those people to reconcile with them and to love them. And let me just say right, quick, our ministry, the focus, the theme of our ministry is to move everybody every day closer to Jesus. And that was Charlie's motto. He didn't say it, he didn't use that. We talked about it a lot. He never articulated that, but he articulated it with his life. But he articulated it with his life Every moment of every day. He was focusing on his staff, on his family, on everybody, particularly those who oppose him, to move them closer to Jesus, if only by his coach, every day. That's God's calling. 10:38Most of you are living in fear. The statistics tell us that about 70% of Christians are living in fear. When you're living in fear, you're not living in faith. And James 1 says if you're wavering in your faith, don't expect me to answer your prayers. You want God to answer your prayers. You want God to direct your steps. Trust the Lord with your whole heart. It is this whole hearted thing that's critical. 11:03Charlie was all in. He said what have we known for? Because of my, my faith, my unwavering faith. I, I, I, I have faith in God and he loved to share his faith and everything he did. He did that and God blessed him. Look at the ministry. It's there Now. Look at a hundred fold. I mean it's going crazy. Isn't this something? We've never had a moment like this, folks, never in our lives, never in the history of the world has there been world revival ignited like the passing of Charlie Kirk. It's global. I can't believe it. The last two weeks, everywhere I go, everybody wants to know. Tell me about it. Come on, I need to talk to you. Everybody wants to know and we have the answer. We have this answer. 11:48When Trump was reelected, it was proclaimed okay, God given us a reprieve. My pastor, tommy Barnett, said but are we going to take advantage of it? Are we going to use it or are we just going to let it slide? And, quite frankly, we're almost a year into Trump's presidency and the church is not winning anymore to the loss. There is revival, I must say, among the young people Thank God for that, but where are they going? 12:13Most of the churches are woke. They go to church. 90%, only 10% of our churches are preaching the gospel. So it's up to us. We're the living word, we are it, we are their best hope. What are we doing about it? And the answer is nothing. 12:31God, help us. This is our moment. Do you hear me? This is your moment. You can't change the world. You can't do that. You're worrying about all kinds of things you can't possibly change. You can change your world every day by moving everybody every day closer to Jesus, and when you do that, you're living for God's purpose. His purpose is to seek and save the lost. You heard me say that so many times. I'm just going to repeat it for those who haven't heard it that when we live for his purpose, it means that when we're living to seek and save the lost, that was God's purpose. That's why he came to earth. He created us for heaven. He created us for heaven, not earth. And he gives us this brief moment in time to figure out who he is and decide whether or not we want to serve him, or ourselves or the world. And for those of us most of you listening right now, we've chosen him. 13:26Okay, from that moment forward, the only thing of eternal significance is souls. I do lots of things, I'm a busy guy, I have a business, I do all kinds of things, but when it gets down to it, it's the only thing that'll matter when we get to heaven. The only thing that matters is how many people are in heaven because of your influence. That's the only thing that matters, folks. The only thing First off, when you receive him, you receive Jesus Christ as your Savior Lord. Some of you have not done that yet. That's the first step, but it's just the first step. It's a big one that gets you into heaven To receive the forgiveness Jesus gave us by shedding his blood on that horrible cross. The forgiveness Jesus gave us by shedding his blood on that horrible cross and acknowledging him as our savior yes, he saved us from hell. That's a real place and honoring him as the Lord of our life. And if he's the Lord of our life, we're going to live for him every moment of every day, by moving everybody every day closer to him. 14:22And when we do that, we're on his team and he says when you do that, oh, when you do that, I'll make everything in your life work together for good. You can't get any better than that. More importantly, when you do it, when you do it and you say, oh, I can't do it, I don't have the tools, I don't know the scriptures, it's nonsense. The most ferocious faith shares are new Christians and they, they don't even know scripture. And I started when I was an extrovert. I hid behind me. I didn't, I didn't have any kind of outgoing personality. There are no excuses. 14:52He said go, not all you who are talented or whatever he just said go. But here's how he said to do it. He said they'll know you're my disciple by by your love. By your love. Yeah, that's it. And when you love on people and I, and mostly more and more to go to those that don't look like you, I love that. You love on everybody and almost everybody around you is hurting. Right below their laughter, right under that veneer, there's tears. And when you love on them, they break and you walk away and say what, if I hadn't talked to that person, they would not know anything about God loving them. 15:31God, thank you for giving me that opportunity, and the best part is you don't have to come up with the words. You don't have to repair, because the Holy Spirit gives you the words. That's this promise in Luke 12, 12. He gives you the words to say when you need them and when you know God's speaking through you. You realize he just organized that conversation. You're right where he wants you to be and he's giving you the word, saying the life and praise will be changed as you talk to them. That's supernatural, that's intimacy with God and that's why he said in Isaiah 43, 10, I appoint you as my witness so that you believe. This is how you believe, this is how you know, this is how this is how you know, that you know that. You know that Jesus is Lord and I'm on my way to heaven and I'm right where he wants me to be. Folks, the message of Charlie passing is this the world is hungry and the heathen I don't care how bad they are. 16:26they're looking around right now. They know this is not, this is not right, that the distance between life and death has gotten a whole lot closer and they want answers. Seriously, folks, they want answers, they're begging for answers. They're looking. Over 80% of the church are looking for answers right now and you have the answer. You have the answer. It's in your hands. Would you? If you, if you love Charlie and you'd like to honor him back, if you'd like his death to have meaning in your life, then pray with me right now. I think I just got to pray with you right now. We just pray that and say God, I want to start living for you right now and I can start moving everybody every day closer to Jesus. 17:14We have a book called Ignite your Life. Okay, it's so easy and when you do it, I promise you it'll ignite your life. It eliminates fears. You want to live life, freedom, knowing heaven. God is directing your steps, everything you're doing. He's answering your prayers. He's giving you joy. These are all the promises. They all come real, come alive, when you get off the bench and get into the game and praying becomes easy. Reading your scriptures becomes easy because you're compelled to do it, because you're in the game. 17:56You need to answer questions. You're being asked. Do you get the point? This is the beginning of your Christian walk. I'm not talking about your Christianity, but your Christian walk, becoming a Christian making a difference. It's called us to be salt and light. Do you know what they have in common, those two things, salt and light? They both change their environment. The question is is the world changing? Is the world, the environment, changing you, or are you changing your environment? When you get to heaven, are your rewards going to be nobody in heaven because of you, or is heaven going to be crowded because of you? I love it. Charlie said that. How am I in business making heaven crowded? You want to fulfill Charlie's dream love. 18:47Everybody, forgive, everybody know they're lost and it's our job to get them saved and lead them to Jesus. Father, God, we love you, we honor you and it's torn us apart what we've just gone through. It's marked our lives with an exclamation point that will never be as pronounced as it is right now. Help us not to waste it. Help us not to waste this moment. Help us, father, God, all of us who are Christians. 19:20Now it's time to mobilize the church. It's game on. We're seeing spiritual warfare like we've never seen before, the hate, the violence, the vile things being said about Charlie and every Christian. It's uncorked, it's unreserved, it's just going for us. But greater are you, who are in us, than in the world. God, you are the greater force, but we can't let it sit here. We got to explode. We got to let it flow through us. 19:45God, I pray with everyone listening to my voice right now, us. God, I pray with everyone listening to my voice right now. I pray that everybody listening to my voice right now will pray with me. Father, God, I want to make a difference. I love you, I want to honor you. I want the world to be better and I understand that it depends on me and all of us. But, God, help me. Help me to be your ambassador. God, help me, from this moment forward, to move everybody every day closer to Jesus. May that be the cry of my heart, whether I'm on the tennis court, in the ballroom, in a restaurant, in a family activity, in a sports event, wherever we are. May everything we do and say bring glory to you and attract people to you because of our heart and your love flowing through us to them. God make that so In the hearts and minds of everybody.
